One month and a half before the political elections in April 2008, this conversation touches upon some of the current issues in the studies on political communication in Italy. Starting from the necessary interaction between macro and micro levels in leadership personification, the central role of television in the representation of politics dialectics is confirmed, despite the number of attempts to bypass this “intrusiveness” moving back to local politics and trying to colonize the spaces of the Net. This is a reflection on the relationship between the mechanisms of popular vote and the concrete management of the power structure, which must focus on the influence of associationism, activism, and lobbyism.

Abstract
One month and a half before the political elections in April 2008, this conversation touches upon some of the current issues in the studies on political communication in Italy. Starting from the necessary interaction between macro and micro levels in leadership personification, the central role of television in the representation of politics dialectics is confirmed, despite the number of attempts to bypass this “intrusiveness” moving back to local politics and trying to colonize the spaces of the Net. This is a reflection on the relationship between the mechanisms of popular vote and the concrete management of the power structure, which must focus on the influence of associationism, activism, and lobbyism.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
