This article tries to analyze the representation strategies of the debate on University in infotainment programs, following an approach that considers its informative content functional to feed the circuit of public opinion, and as “political” as that of more traditional hard news programs. The interpretative category used is the one of pop politics (Mazzoleni, Sfardini 2009), and the focus is the introduction of the“Science of Communication case” as a coherent narrative strategy in two episodes of “L’Arena”, the popular and news-oriented segment of “Domenica In”.
