A data set was studied containing qualitative data relative to finds within VIII and III century b.C. on which images taken from the myth of Ajax Telamonius are represented. Multiple Correspondence Analysis showed a bidimensional structure on which the dating is highly correlated with the other characters taken into account. Problems in Qualitative Discriminant Analysis suggested the use of Greenacre’s Joint Correspondence Analysis. The theoretical problem is discussed and some provisional results are shown in comparison with those issued by MCA.

Abstract
A data set was studied containing qualitative data relative to finds within VIII and III century b.C. on which images taken from the myth of Ajax Telamonius are represented. Multiple Correspondence Analysis showed a bidimensional structure on which the dating is highly correlated with the other characters taken into account. Problems in Qualitative Discriminant Analysis suggested the use of Greenacre’s Joint Correspondence Analysis. The theoretical problem is discussed and some provisional results are shown in comparison with those issued by MCA.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
