This paper will focus on the villa of period 3 (300-225 B.C.), to which can be referred a gutter roof tile with head of the river god Acheloos and a series of ritual wares. These latter offers new important insights regarding the domestic ritual practices (sacra domestica) and the local religious festival, for which this villa must have been an important focus. Through a quantitative and distributive approach to the study of the pottery we’ll try to explain the meaning of their presence in this site and to give an answer to the hypothesis that the villa of the Auditorium was the sanctuary of Anna Perenna.

Abstract
This paper will focus on the villa of period 3 (300-225 B.C.), to which can be referred a gutter roof tile with head of the river god Acheloos and a series of ritual wares. These latter offers new important insights regarding the domestic ritual practices (sacra domestica) and the local religious festival, for which this villa must have been an important focus. Through a quantitative and distributive approach to the study of the pottery we’ll try to explain the meaning of their presence in this site and to give an answer to the hypothesis that the villa of the Auditorium was the sanctuary of Anna Perenna.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
