We present the results of a millimetric search for high redshift LiH lines carried out at the IRAM 30 m telescope. These lines are expected to be emitted in collapsing proto-clouds. Seven high latitude regions have been observed at frequencies around 220 GHz, where two roto-vibrational branches of LiH can be observed at redshifts of the order of 180. These observations set a 95% upper limit of the order of 20 mK for the intensity of the LiH lines. The corresponding upper limits on the LiH abundance and on the clouds density are discussed.

Abstract
We present the results of a millimetric search for high redshift LiH lines carried out at the IRAM 30 m telescope. These lines are expected to be emitted in collapsing proto-clouds. Seven high latitude regions have been observed at frequencies around 220 GHz, where two roto-vibrational branches of LiH can be observed at redshifts of the order of 180. These observations set a 95% upper limit of the order of 20 mK for the intensity of the LiH lines. The corresponding upper limits on the LiH abundance and on the clouds density are discussed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
