The ergodic properties of an infinite system of particles of common mass m on the half-line interacting with a "first particle" of mass M is studied. On the particle with mass M a constant positive force E is acting, and the dynamics is that of elastic collisions between particles, with elastic collisions from a screen at the origin for the M particle. It is shown that if E< P/2 where P is the pressure the dynamical system is Bernoulli.
