L’uso dello spazio nell’insediamento subappenninico di Oratino: note preliminari

This paper presents the preliminary result of the spatial analysis conducted on some Late Bronze age layers at Oratino – La Rocca. These layers can be related to the presence of some cooking structures. The integration of the functional analysis on pottery containers and data coming from bio-arcaheological record has been attempted in order to analyse the use of space in an open area during the Bronze Age. The area can be related, mostly, to food preparation/treatment and consumption activities, repeated in a short lapse of time. Moreover, these activities were performed in an open area and are not linked to specific domestic structures, but probably in a collective sphere, by a restricted number of people.
