The paper reports an experimental research aimed to a paradigmatic transition from Food Design to Design ‘for’ Food. The general aim of the experimental research reported on this paper has been to explore the opportunities for Design to improve its capability to produce innovation: (1) giving responses to specific needs in order to face off real social challenges, (2) developing possible productive alternatives, (3) imagining new processes for the societies of the future.
