The authors carried out a clinical study on the presence, nature and importance of quantitative modifications of steroid hormones in a female population affected with high myopia in the fertile age. In particular, the values of progeste- rone, estradiol, testosterone, LH and FSH were studied. The data were compared with those of a control group. The result seem to confirm the haematological modifications, even of small entity, of sexual steroid hormones (cortisol, 17-B-estradiol and LH) in the population studied.

Abstract
The authors carried out a clinical study on the presence, nature and importance of quantitative modifications of steroid hormones in a female population affected with high myopia in the fertile age. In particular, the values of progeste- rone, estradiol, testosterone, LH and FSH were studied. The data were compared with those of a control group. The result seem to confirm the haematological modifications, even of small entity, of sexual steroid hormones (cortisol, 17-B-estradiol and LH) in the population studied.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
