Chievitz's point and possibilities of its application in acupuncture.

On thè basis of conclusions from previous publications, thè authors bave verified thè possibility of transcutaneous location of Chievitz's juxtaoral organ and thè application of acupuncture to that point, in 31 patients suffering from various conditions. In addition, acupuncture was also applied to selected peripheral acupuncture points of generai effect to achieve and maintain a vegetative balance. A rapid onset of analgetic effect was noted, particularly in painful conditions, when comparing thè effect acupuncture in Chievitz's point to that of classic acupuncture points applied simultaneously — in thè facial region.
