Following a positive clinical experience with orthotopic ileal neobladder after cystectomy for bladder cancer, the Authors propose to utilize such a surgical solution also in patients with non neoplastic bladder diseases as contracted post tubercolosis bladders and severe interstitial cystities resistant to medical treatments. After 24 months the neobladders show: a 400 cc medium capacity with a good compliance an a acceptable continence, a recovered or preserved upper urinary tract functional activity and a remarkable improvement of patients quality of life.
