Wide and narrow band partial discharge measurements performed on an oil-impregnated paper bushing indicate the presence of discharge pulse bursts, which are similar to those observed in dielectric liquids. Each pulse burst is detected as single pulse by the charge integrating circuitry of conventional narrow band discharge detectors.
