A proposal for a medical teacher and undergraduate student code of conduct during clinical learning was elaborated and approved by the Italian Council of Medical Courses Degrees and Italian Council of Medical Faculties. The code of conduct is aimed to educate students to become compassionate, thoughtful and skilled members of the medical profession. On the other hand, the code of cunduct for teachers help them to be aware of their important role in training future physicians. The code requirements are also important to ensure the safety of patients. Ethics of commitment, responsibility and mutual respect as well as professionalism principles are the main rules of the proposed code of conduct
