The presence of exaggerated stretch reflexes is a primary indicator fro the presence of neurological disorders such as parkinson's rigidity or distonia.In order to investigate the early signs of pathology, reflex muscle contractions are elicited by means of passive joint movements while the EMG patterns of the muscle involved are recorded. The aim of the experimental configuration presebted here is to analyze both EMG patterns and dynamic/kynematic data during planar ballistic or isometric contraction in presence of torque disturbance and/or scalp magnetic stimulation.
