In normal eyes of dog, the activity of some enzymes (SDH, G6PDH, LDH and AChE) have been evaluated. Special attention was paid for the trabecular meshwork. In fact nothing has been definitely said on its real function and activity. At the level of the trabecular meshwork, a moderate positive reaction for SDH and a strong positive reaction for LDH was observed. Some considerations on a possible active participation of the trabecular cells to the aqueous humor outflow from the anterior chamber are advanced.
