Results obtained by cyclic voltammetry and frequency response analysis show that the electrochemical behaviour of solid state cells based on the combination of polymer electrolytes and polymer electrodes is crucially affected by the morphology of the electrode interfaces. Fast kinetics and good interfacial contacts can be obtained using composite electrodes electrosynthesized from solutions containing a polymer electrolyte and large surfactant anions. © 1992 Chapman & Hall.
