We present and compare some mathematical models describing the phenomenon of crystallization of polymers. The case of ``isokinetic'' crystallization is separately investigated because of its interest. The predictions of the models are compared with the results of a numerical simulation based on a stochastic model. We confine to the case of isothermal crystallization.
