We have found the antigens HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-Dr in sixteen italians without parental links, who were suffering with hypertension with different levels of vascular injury. We found the antigens HLA-B35 and CW4 as "disequilibrium linkage" in 33% of these patients compared with 9% in a healthy population. Amongst the hypertensive patients there was an increase of the frequence of the presence of HLA-DR4 of class II (37,5% against 18,5%). This antigen was present only in those patients with a WHO II and III level of illness. It is possible that a genetic susceptibility, by the immunological pathways, favours the development of vascular lesions resulting in several serious forms of hypertension

Abstract
We have found the antigens HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-Dr in sixteen italians without parental links, who were suffering with hypertension with different levels of vascular injury. We found the antigens HLA-B35 and CW4 as "disequilibrium linkage" in 33% of these patients compared with 9% in a healthy population. Amongst the hypertensive patients there was an increase of the frequence of the presence of HLA-DR4 of class II (37,5% against 18,5%). This antigen was present only in those patients with a WHO II and III level of illness. It is possible that a genetic susceptibility, by the immunological pathways, favours the development of vascular lesions resulting in several serious forms of hypertensionI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
