XPS of core levels, valence bands and Auger transitions are reported on the molecular cluster compound Cu146Se73(PPh3)30 and on Cu2Se bulk phase obtained from the cluster after heat treatment. The photoemission features of both species are reported and commented in the light of a cluster-to-bulk transition.
