Results of monotonic and cyclic moment-curvature analyses on circular reinforced concrete bridge piers retrofitted with fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) jackets are presented. The analyses are based on a new uniaxial model for concrete, in which the confinement effect is evaluated explicitly accounting for the lateral dilation of concrete and its interaction with the confining device.
