This article discusses an application of disjunctive kriging for local evaluation of recoverable reserves using the negative binomial model. The results are compared using the different known models of change of support, based both on discrete/discrete and discrete/continuous laws. A magnesite orebody on Eubea in Greece, where the grade distribution is characterized by a high zero effect, was studied.

Abstract

This article discusses an application of disjunctive kriging for local evaluation of recoverable reserves using the negative binomial model. The results are compared using the different known models of change of support, based both on discrete/discrete and discrete/continuous laws. A magnesite orebody on Eubea in Greece, where the grade distribution is characterized by a high zero effect, was studied.
