Soybean plants were treated with Bentazon (I) [25057-89-0] at 0.6 and 1.2 kg/ha , at the beginning of flowering. Seed meal was analyzed 30 days later for I residues, by gas chromatog. I residues following treatment at 0.6 kg I/ha were 80 - 70 ppm. I was apparently translocated from leaves to developing seeds.
