Phenylacetylene (PA) has been polymerized using Rh(I) catalysts and the resulting polymers characterized by elemental analysis, GPC 1H and 13C nmr and infrared spectroscopy. Very well resolved spectra have been recorded indicating that these catalysts produce highly stereoregular polymers. © 1986 Springer-Verlag.
