The article basically points out that the merit of Yu’s book is that of attempting to bridge Austrian economics and comparative institutional analysis through Frank Knight. As I will suggest, however, this bridging attempt is not unique to Yu. Per se, this is obviously not a shortcoming, as Firms, Strategies and Economic Change can easily be interpreted as a “normal science” contribution to a now fairly recognizable research program in the economics of organization and management. But the way in which the discussion is carried out renders Yu’s effort less incisive than it could be.

Abstract
