The increase of corrosion of Sb and Cd in the presence of pyridinemonocarboxylic acids is explained by their electrochem. behavior.  Cd and Sb electrodes, in N H2SO4, contg. 0.1M concn. of the pyridinemonocarboxylic acid react with the acids, and also adsorb them as evidenced by potentiokinetic studies.  Potentiokinetic curves of both metals in the presence of various concns. of picolinic, nicotinic, or isonicotinic acids are shown at 2 different speeds of voltage change.  The crystallized salts of Cd were analyzed and agreed with the calcd. values.  The Sb compds. being very sol. were not sepd.  The variations with time of the potentials of the 2 metals against a calomel electrode were studied.  The curves vary according to the different solubilities, and stability consts. of the reaction products.
