This relation agrees with a finite linear diffusion process inside the liq. membrane, and this agreement is expressed as: Δφm = -(RT/F)(1- c(d)/c(o)) (1 + 2e-t/τ), where c(d), c(o) and τ are resp. the nicotinate interface concns. and time const. The diffusion coeff. of the nicotinate ion in the membrane is also given.
