This Editorial of this special issue of the RIVISTA DI PSICOLINGUISTICA APPLICATA devoted to sign interpreting highlights the relevant points in the topics treated by the contributors, namely the specificities of sign languages, the reasons why these specificities make sign interpreting a particularly complex matter, and the educational implications.
