This paper specifies overall indicators to express energy performance of interior lighting systems including luminaires aspects, luminaires arrangements aspects and the impact of the lighting control systems on lighting systems energy performance. Moreover, the authors suggest ways to express energy requirements for the design of new lighting systems or renovation of existing lighting systems, and after that, practical methods to evaluate and to certificate energy performance of luminaires, of control lighting systems and, in general, interior lighting systems according to the reference values fixed. © 2012 IEEE.

Abstract

This paper specifies overall indicators to express energy performance of interior lighting systems including luminaires aspects, luminaires arrangements aspects and the impact of the lighting control systems on lighting systems energy performance. Moreover, the authors suggest ways to express energy requirements for the design of new lighting systems or renovation of existing lighting systems, and after that, practical methods to evaluate and to certificate energy performance of luminaires, of control lighting systems and, in general, interior lighting systems according to the reference values fixed. © 2012 IEEE.
