Il Tessile/Abbigliamento in Campania: tra memoria storica e prospettive future

In order to provide a picture of the morphology of the textile and clothing industry of Campania, we have tried to trace the guidelines of the evolutionary process that, starting from the experiences of the first half of the nineteenth century led to the current set of size or sector of chain . Also serving all the difficulties triggered by globalization, the textile-apparel made in Campania (and especially the fashion-industry, its peak of excellence) is still appreciated around the world for its quality productions, featuring profiles of tailoring and from 'hand-made, which have their roots in typical processes, which constitute a heritage of cultures and traditions are deeply rooted in history and in the region of Campania. From a methodological point of view, the research - that can not be separated from a contextualization of the topic at the national level - is leveraging, as well as the critical study and screening of the literature on the subject, the examination and analysis of the various statistical sources. Adopting, therefore, a historical approach we intended to follow the 360 ° track of the evolution of the industry, because we believe that only in the folds of a long process it is possible to capture the structural reasons underlying the morphology of the composite sector, or it’s strengths, it’s the critical areas, it’s "hubs", it’s trends.

Allo scopo di fornire una fotografia dell’attuale morfologia del tessile-abbigliamento campano, abbiamo inteso tracciare le linee-guida del processo evolutivo che, partendo dalle esperienze della prima metà del XIX secolo ha condotto all’attuale assetto dimensionale e settoriale del comparto. Pur scontando tutte le difficoltà innescate dalla globalizzazione, il tessile-abbigliamento made in Campania (ed in specie il settore-moda, sua punta di eccellenza) è ancor oggi apprezzato nel mondo per le sue produzioni di qualità, caratterizzate da profili di lavorazioni sartoriali e dall’hand made, che affondano le loro radici in lavorazioni tipiche, che costituiscono un patrimonio di culture e tradizioni fortemente radicate nella storia e nel territorio della regione. Da un punto di vista metodologico, la ricerca - che non può prescindere da una contestualizzazione del tema in ambito nazionale - intende far leva, oltre che sullo studio critico e lo screening della bibliografia in materia, sullo spoglio e sull’analisi di diverse fonti statistiche. Adottando, quindi, un approccio storico abbiamo inteso seguire a 360° la traccia del percorso evolutivo del settore, giacché reputiamo che solo nelle pieghe di un processo di ampio respiro sia possibile cogliere le ragioni strutturali alla base della composita morfologia del settore, ovvero i suoi punti di forza, le sua aree critiche, i suoi “snodi”, le sue tendenze evolutive.
