High-performance liq. chromatog. sepn. of trans-[PdL2Cl2] where L = N-methyl-N-phenylhydrazone of iso-PrCOMe, Et2CO, n-PrCOMe, Me2CO, and AcH, and N,N-dimethylhydrazone of Me2CO is described. The anal. of a mixt. obtained by refluxing trans-[PdL21Cl2] where L1 = N-methyl-N-phenylhydrazone of Et2CO and trans-[PdL22Cl2] where L2 = N-methyl-N-phenylhydrazone of Me2CO showed an addnl. peak between the 2 complexes. LiChrosorb DIOL, 10 μm, was used as the stationary phase, and n-hexane and dichloromethane were used as the mobile phases. The complexes were sepd. in one run by using the solvent gradient technique. The capacity factor, k1, decreases as the chain length of the ketone increases. This peak (trans-[PdL1L2Cl2]) resulted from ligand exchange in soln. (SCI Finder)
