Quando l'avvenire è imprevedibile: utilità delle sculture del futuro.

When the future is unpredictable: usefulness of sculpture of the future. Authors underline how in the current globalized society, continuously in mutation (significantly called by Bauman “liquid society”) uncertainty and unpredictability are increasing. Negative and positive influences of this phenomenon are analyzed: in fact it can generate anxiety and fears as well as activate new resources. Moreover the implications for therapy and training are considered, proposing a work with the trainee finalized to encourage a greater flexibility, the ability to tolerate the unpredictable, the willingness to be open to the future. Particularly three methods oriented to reach this goal are presented: a) the experience in the group of a process open to unpredictable; b) the trainee’s “Sculpture of the Future”; c) the metaphorical family story with the “open ended”.
