New mineralogical, chemical and isotopical data on the iron – manganese deposit ofMount Argentario (southern Tuscany) are presented in this work. Some anomalies in Au wereidentified, apart from the well known Fe-Mn mineralisations , especially in the metalliferoussulphur masses. Therefore the aim of this work is to increase the existing knowledge on the goldanomalies in southern Tuscany and to acquire new data and interpretations on their genesis.
