A circuit model for the analysis of a ultra wideband radar for breath activity monitoring is presented. The model includes the signal source, the receiver, the transceiver antenna, and the human thorax. The model has been validated both numer- ically, with a commercial electromagnetic software, and experimentally, with an indirect time domain re ectometry system. The model has been used for analyzing the feasibility of a UWB radar based on a suitable antenna operating in the 3.1 10.6 GHz band

Abstract
A circuit model for the analysis of a ultra wideband radar for breath activity monitoring is presented. The model includes the signal source, the receiver, the transceiver antenna, and the human thorax. The model has been validated both numer- ically, with a commercial electromagnetic software, and experimentally, with an indirect time domain re ectometry system. The model has been used for analyzing the feasibility of a UWB radar based on a suitable antenna operating in the 3.1 10.6 GHz bandI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
