L'etica animale

In the twentieth century, the morality of relationships between humans and non-human animals has been the subject of systematic philosophical analysis, they represent a branch of applied ethics today known as "animal ethics". This branch of the ethical-philosophical reflection is concerned to argue in favor of the moral status of nonhuman animals and to analyze the resulting human responsibilities. Whilst in a variety of positions, the different processing of that theoretical reflection advancing a common request to change the relationships between human and non, especially as regards the use of animals for food and for experimentation.

Nel XX secolo la moralità delle relazioni fra esseri umani e animali non-umani è stata fatta oggetto di sistematica analisi filosofica, sino a costituire una branca dell'etica applicata oggi nota come «Etica animale». Questo ramo della riflessione etico-filosofica si occupa di argomentare in favore dello status morale degli animali non umani e di analizzare le conseguenti responsabilità umane. Pur in una varietà di posizioni, le diverse elaborazione teoriche di tale riflessione avanzano una comune richiesta di cambiamento delle relazioni fra umani e non, soprattutto per quanto riguarda l'uso di animali a fini alimentari e per la sperimentazione.
