In this paper I present and discuss some questions related to the role of language in the teaching of Mathematics. After briefly reviewing some specific points in recent Italian curricula, I compare natural language with logical language in several examples, with particular reference to connectives and quantifiers. The aim is not to find errors, but rather to pay attention to many constructions we currently use. Moreover, I discuss notation, I compare definitions in mathematics and in a dictionary, and I conclude showing some "miracles" of mathematical language.
