The purpose of Lynn's research is to operate a shift of architecture from a way of thinking based on inertness to a process capable of accommodating ever-changing systems of forces (environmental factors). Greg Lynn argues that the organization of the building and its shape evolves through the interaction of separate forces and "influence gradients in time-based environments", within which the architect has the task of controlling and guiding the growth, as well as the transformation and mutation of the building. Lynn defines the combination of variability and continuity: "intricacy" (tangling).

Abstract
The purpose of Lynn's research is to operate a shift of architecture from a way of thinking based on inertness to a process capable of accommodating ever-changing systems of forces (environmental factors). Greg Lynn argues that the organization of the building and its shape evolves through the interaction of separate forces and "influence gradients in time-based environments", within which the architect has the task of controlling and guiding the growth, as well as the transformation and mutation of the building. Lynn defines the combination of variability and continuity: "intricacy" (tangling).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
