A few records of Quercus sp. deciduous gr. referable to the middle Holocene have been detected at Cava Provana (Carmagnola), at Cave Torino (Carignano), at Cave Fallè (Casalgrasso) and then together with logs of Ulmus sp. and Populus sp. at Cave Fontane (Pancalieri).
