The paper intends to establish a new operational method to acquire an "in-depth" understanding of architectural organisms. An architectural structure may be understood when its measurements lead to the construction of two and three-dimensional "models". This paper analyses the transition from traditional methods involving the measurement of certain important points and methods using 3D laser scanners where it is possible to determine the position of the characteristic points of an object only after elaborating the surveyed numeric data.

Abstract
The paper is intended to establish a new mode of operation aimed at understanding "deep" of the architectural. The knowledge of an architectural structure is done by measuring operations that lead to the construction of "models" is two-dimensional and three-dimensional. In the paper analyzes the transition from traditional acquisition mode, in which the measurements were made on significant points, such an acquisition made through 3D laser scanner, in which it is possible to determine the position of the points characterizing the object acquired only following the establishment numeric data detected.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
