The studied processes deal with cobalt and nickel electrolytic recovery from Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries by means of both galvanostatic and potentiostatic electrowinning. Two different type of cathodic material are considered: LiCoO2 for Co recovery and LiCoxNi1-xO2 for Ni recovery. In the second case, because of cobalt anomalous co-deposition, nickel has been recovered after separating Ni from Co by SX methods
