Aim of the study was to assess the adult social adjustment of patients with well-controlled epilepsy of childhood. Data were collected in a sample of 82 patients (47 males, 35 females; age at the interview 19-40 years; mean 30,5 yrs) with idiopathic epilepsy in childhood (antiepileptic drugs stopped after at least 2 years of seizure remission). Social outcome and competences (employment, marriage, ecc.) were compared with data of a general reference population.
