The popular Societies, then constitutional Circles were places of apprenticeship of citizen in Italy freed by Bonaparte. Created on the French example the popular Societies they were places where the citizens (men and women) were polite to the democratic values, to the civic faith. But the popular Societies were also extraordinary political meetings, where the citizens could be free and to defend really straight the to the equality. The enormous participation worried the authorities, according to which the clubs were dangerous laboratories of extremism and more times they were suppressed; despite this datum, popular Society and Circles they spread in all the Republics feeding a dense debate. To electrify the people, was this the principal mission of the Italian patriots. It is in their discourses, brought in my article, it is also possible to understand how much deep pits their passion of regeneration.
Le Società popolari, poi Circoli costituzionali era luoghi di apprendistato di cittadinanza nell’Italia liberata da Bonaparte. Creati sull’esempio francese le Società popolari erano luoghi dove i cittadini e le cittadine erano educati ai valori democratici, al civismo. Ma le Società popolari erano anche straordinarie assemblee politiche, dove i cittadini potevano essere liberi e difendere il proprio diritto all’uguaglianza. La partecipazione enorme preoccupava le autorità, secondo le quali i club erano pericolosi laboratori di estremismo e più volte vennero soppressi; malgrado questo dato, Società popolari e Circoli si diffusero in tutte le Repubbliche alimentando un fitto dibattito. Elettrizzare il popolo, era questa la missione principale dei patrioti italiani. E nei loro discorsi, riportati nel saggio, è possibile anche comprendere quanto profonda fosse la loro passione di rigenerazione.
