The aim of this work is the application of parametric spectral estimation techniques, namely MUSIC and ESPRIT, to the formation of SAR images with resolutions better than the limit imposed by the bandwidth of the transmitted signal and by the length of the synthetic aperture. We will show examples of application to simulated and real SAR images and we will provide some performance analysis in terms of resolution gain as a function of the input SNR.
