The comparison between the identified drainage network and fracture domains of the M. Sabatini area (N. Latium) showed that their main orientations are consistent. The marked prevalence of N- S domain in the lower stream orders could lead to the hypothesis that the corresponding N-S fracture domain might represent the most recent fracture direction in the Monti Sabatini area. On the other hand the E-W domain, that represents the fracture main orientation, is present only in higher stream orders; therefore this fracture direction might reflect the reactivation of tectonics which were preexisting to the volcanic activity. -after Author

Abstract
The comparison between the identified drainage network and fracture domains of the M. Sabatini area (N. Latium) showed that their main orientations are consistent. The marked prevalence of N- S domain in the lower stream orders could lead to the hypothesis that the corresponding N-S fracture domain might represent the most recent fracture direction in the Monti Sabatini area. On the other hand the E-W domain, that represents the fracture main orientation, is present only in higher stream orders; therefore this fracture direction might reflect the reactivation of tectonics which were preexisting to the volcanic activity. -after AuthorI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
