A model recently proposed to account for cold fusion processes on the basis of a lattice collapse in the host metal is developed. A deuteron drag phenomenon, which considerably enhances the neutron yield, is described. Quantitative estimates for the neutron emission are given as a function of thermodynamic parameters of the metal-deuterium system.

Abstract
A model recently proposed to account for cold fusion processes on the basis of a lattice collapse in the host metal is developed. A deuteron drag phenomenon, which considerably enhances the neutron yield, is described. Quantitative estimates for the neutron emission are given as a function of thermodynamic parameters of the metal-deuterium system.File allegati a questo prodotto
