Abstract
According to a recent suggestion (Nunn K et al., 2011) sustaining a dysfunction of insula cortex as a crucial risk factor for the development of anorexia nervosa, in the follow manuscript we propose an hypothesis predicting abnormal somatosensory intra-oral (tongue) patterns in AN given taste perception is peripherally mediated by tongue receptors through a neural system which in humans comprises the anterior insula.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
