Abstract
The authors construct a Bäcklund chart, which links the two nonlinear integrable hierarchies of the title, and generate new hierarchies, the base members of which are Kawamoto-type equations. The chart is obtained by applying reciprocal [see J. G. Kingston and Rogers, Phys. Lett. A 92 (1982), no. 6, 261--264; MR0683534 (84b:35107)] and Cole-Hopf transformations, and using the singularity manifold equations of the Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon and Kaup-Kupershmidt hierarchies [see J. E. Weiss, J. Math. Phys. 25 (1984), no. 1, 13--24; MR0728882 (85g:35111)]. Auto-Bäcklund transformations for each hierarchy are generated using the known invariance of the singularity manifold equations under the Möbius group.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
