This paper discusses the anaerobic co-digestion of sewage sludge from a wastewater treatment plant and the organic fraction of municipal solid waste from markets (market waste). The experimental results obtained through the use of suspended biomass anaerobic reactors make it possible to measure certain parameters characterizing the process of bioconversion. The prospects for large-scale utilization of this particular disposal technique are considered with reference to the situation existing in the city of Rome.

Abstract
This paper discusses the anaerobic co-digestion of sewage sludge from a wastewater treatment plant and the organic fraction of municipal solid waste from markets (market waste). The experimental results obtained through the use of suspended biomass anaerobic reactors make it possible to measure certain parameters characterizing the process of bioconversion. The prospects for large-scale utilization of this particular disposal technique are considered with reference to the situation existing in the city of Rome.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
