This work deals with the study of the current density excited on a 1D printed periodic structure by a single, aperiodic source. As a consequence of the aperiodic nature of the source, the usual approach based on the direct application of Floquet’s theorem is not feasible. An efficient quasi-analytical formulation is proposed here which is based on a the Array Scanning Method and the Method of Moments. Some results for the current launched on the line by a delta-gap source in the passband as well as in the stopband are also shown.

Abstract
This work deals with the study of the current density excited on a 1D printed periodic structure by a single, aperiodic source. As a consequence of the aperiodic nature of the source, the usual approach based on the direct application of Floquet’s theorem is not feasible. An efficient quasi-analytical formulation is proposed here which is based on a the Array Scanning Method and the Method of Moments. Some results for the current launched on the line by a delta-gap source in the passband as well as in the stopband are also shown.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
