Novel biodegradable block copolymers containing both PCL diol or/and PEO segments and different chain extenders with or without functional groups were synthesised and characterised. Hydrophilicity and mixing phase increase with the polar groups presence in the polymer and with decreasing of hard/soft ratio. Preliminary results show that these copolymers could be employed as drug delivery matrices and as scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.

Abstract
Novel biodegradable block copolymers containing both PCL diol or/and PEO segments and different chain extenders with or without functional groups were synthesised and characterised. Hydrophilicity and mixing phase increase with the polar groups presence in the polymer and with decreasing of hard/soft ratio. Preliminary results show that these copolymers could be employed as drug delivery matrices and as scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
