The wine industry represents one of the most important agro-industrial working activity in Mediterranean area, particularly in the Italian territory. This research is addressed to investigate the possibility to utilize the organic solid waste, generated by wine production, to generate biogas by anaerobic digestion. Investigations have been carried out utilizing a pilot batch anaerobic digester. A specialized control hardware and software architecture was developed in order to perform a continuous monitoring of the process parameters by specific sensors and a dedicated logging software. Main aim of the study is to identify and analyze the relationship existing between the chemical and phisical parameters representative of the conversion processes of the organic substrate in the reactor (pH, chemical oxygen demand) and the volume of the biogas produced. Furthermore, the research wants to identify some solutions finalized to the re-utilization of digestate produced during the conversion process.

Abstract
Furthermore, the research wants to identify some solutions finalized to the re-utilization of digestate produced during the conversion process.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
